Emily Ranneby is an American graphic designer and illustrator living in a big funkis flat in Stockholm, Sweden with her Swedish husband, their two year old son, Oscar, and their big collection of books and records. She is the designer behind Salt&Syrup, a boutique stationery brand and design studio specializing in cards and miscellaneous paper goods. In 2009, Salt&Syrup launched a letterpressed note card collection, which can be found in select boutiques and shops around the world.
Emily's stationery work has been featured in design books such as The Little Book of Letterpress (Chronicle Books, 2010) and Rein- venting Letterpress (Rotovision, 2010), as well as numerous blogs including Brides.com, People.com, 100 Layer Cake and Karin's Style Blog. She was nominated for a Stationery Trendy in 2011.
She is passionate about all things paper, traveling, big cities, black and white photography and quirky little Japanese illustrations. She reads cookbooks for fun. Drinks a lot of fruit smoothies. Has a thing for New York City. Covets mid-century, modern furniture. Misses everything about American brunch. And is always looking for a pretty pair of shoes.
